Antsy?

shower head with flowing waterHello-o-o-o-o sweetness!
Sugar ants lo-o-o-ove… you guessed it… sugar. Anything sugar. Even a dog can’t smell sugar like sugar ants can. (Where do they come from?)

So-o-o-o-…

Get rid of it! The sugar, that is. First, clean away any sugar residue, especially those few crystals that spilled in the back of the shelf! Next, using a clean cloth and warm water, wipe any excess sugar that’s on a bottle, Remove the cap and clean around the edge. Clean the inside of the cap and securely tighten.

You can also simply store your maple syrup, etc. in your refrigerator.

No sugar, no sugar ants. Period!

P.S. Ants don’t like peppermint oil so consider getting a little bottle, and dabbing a bit in and around your food areas, entry points, cracks and crevices. Or create a mixture of about five drops of peppermint oil in a 16-ounce spray bottle. Fill the bottle with water, add a splash of of dish soap, and shake well. Also repels moths, spiders, flies, even mice!
